Hey I need some help. After reading on all the posts in this thread, I still can't figure out how to make import process work. I'm at the Mingle Import table. Every time I put information into these fields, I get this message: "Unable to connect to the source database using supplied information." What is the correct information that I need to put in each field and in what format? When I say format I mean for example the Database name. Do I just put the name itself or do I add the word "define", parenthesis, etc?
Can someone give me an example of what to put in those fields?

your mingle database and the WordPress database need to be on the same server for starters...
the info is the db connection info... ie database name... just the name... use mysql and look on your server to find the database name... or in the config file for mingle...
database user is the user that connects to the database... password is for that user to connect to that database...
all this info should be in a mingle config file that you had to set up at some point... you can look in your wp-config.php file for examples, but you want the mingle info...

Thank you Mr. Papa. Your advice gave me a bit more direction. Turns out I was putting the wrong password in. When I first started my site, I registered for Wordpress three different times via my web hosting server. I registered three times because I made mistakes on the first two. I tried the three different passwords and one worked.
OK, I'm off to the next step. Thank you again.
