Editor TinyMCE Rich Text: no bar, html is shown when quoting, can't use smileys

How can I fix these errors?

Smileys don’t appear after clicking

Plugin upgraded to the last version.

Simple-press 5.2

I use a layout with a sidebar. In the sidebar I’ve just one link and one image.

Default settings, maybe I can adjust something in the options?

Meanwhile, I’m using bbocode and no problems.

I dont think you have the latest tinymce version… make sure its 2.0.1…  smiley update was pushed out couple days ago…

not sure what you are asking about re sidebar… if you want to remove the sidebar, that is a function of your wp theme… if you edit the page, you can likely select a full width page template…

My TinyMCE also does not show the toolbar after updating to 2.0.1. In fact, I can’t even type anything in the text editing box. I had to delete the plugin and re-upload the previous version. Any clues why this is happening?

Andy, not sure this is same issue as Angelo… but perhaps in long run…  it kind of sounds like a js conflict…  do you have a link to your site?

Here’s the site: http://www.tinkerines.com/forum/

It is running TinyMCE v.1.2 currently. Thanks for the help!

1.2?? what version of simple press? the latest tinymce plugin version if 2.0.1… if running sp 5.2, you need to upgrade tinymce…

I downloaded TinyMCE a just day or two before 2.0.1 was released. The plugins panel says it’s version 1.2.

The SP version is 5.2. Somehow TinyMCE v1.2 works with it but 2.0.1 does not.

I dont really see how 1.2 can work with 5.2… too much has changed… but if its working for you, then fine…

and 2.0.1 was explicitly built to work with 5.2 and have several thousand downloads and success… so would just need to figure out what is going on locally – especially with just one browser…

one of the biggest changes in tinymce is that 2.0 does not use a special purpose built version of tinymce for simple press… it uses the wp tinymce editor… so gets all the benefit of wp work…

I will need to check with Steve but I am pretty sure that the dependency for the latest TinyMCE SP plugin is SP 5.2 and it will need a newer WP as well – preferably 3.5.

More to the point what have you done to SP that makes an upgrade a problem?

I certainly hope not.  WP is 3.4.2 SP is 5.1.3 .. I just reinstalled old Tiny 1.2 and not the “quotes” do not work.

Yes that is confirmed. All plugins released at the same time or since SP5.2 require 5.2. I believe this would have been noted on the updater.
Before you ‘reinstalled’ the older version of TM did you completely uninstall the newer version.
But seriously – what is it you have done to SP that makes it impossible to upgrade? Have you changed core code? There really is nothing that should cause a total impossibility to upgrade.

I have done some trads, add a function to display the user group (a wordpress plugin) of members in their profile, masked some informations that i don’t want display.. etc.

Can i upgrade SP without lost all of this work ?

Thx

Not sure what a ‘trad’ is but this sounds like it is all in the SP theme yes? If so then you really need to create that as a custom theme to ensure it is protected from future upgrades.
