I can use Share This but if I attempt to use the Facebook button I get an Error 403 posted on Facebook. I have no idea where to start.
Any ideas?

So - a little bit of guesswork - but I assume that Facebook is then having trouble accessing your web-server which is throwing the 403 when it tries which, basically means, access is forbidden. Is that the way we all read it? Is the forum you are 'sending; to facebook accessible? Could that be the problem? If yes then can your host throw any light on it?

There are a few too many unknowns to me but :
I've created a Facebook App and have an App ID which I have used in the Social Meta section of All in One SEO.
Thats as far as I've gone but I believe that makes the forum Facebook accessible? Or is there something I have to ask the host to do?

I hate to say it but that is all unknown to me. I am not a FaceBook user and have no idea what a FaceBook App is I am afraid. Dinosaur see!
I think asking your host about the 403 is still probably wise. That http code does mean that the server is denying the request as opposed to WordPress or the forum denying the request.
