Support Forum
I just installed SimplePress v 5.5.0 here:
http://www.bscnetwork.com/forum/
I created a General forum and added 5 questions that I "locked and pinned". Now I want to move/delete some questions.
I login as the administrator, hover over the question I want to move, and click to open the Forum toolset window.
I select "Move this topic" and get a Parse error (please see attached pdf with screenshot).
From the Forum Toolset window I select "Delete this topic". I get the delete confirmation window and click OK. I get the quick message that it's deleted, but then am redirected to a 404 page rather than returning to the Forum. The url window on the 404 page contains html code indicating a parse error. If I revisit the Forum the question was not deleted. (please see attached pdf with screenshot).
Please let me know if you need access to the backend and where I can send you that information privately and securely.
Regards,
John
I really do think you must have a corrupted file there. That is the sort of error you might get if - for example - some of the file content is missing. Could you download the plugin again and copy that one file up to your server and try this again. I assure you - at least using the latest version - that there is no such issue in the code.
As a matter of curiosity - how did you install SP?

I copied the single file to the server again and now the Move and Delete options work. So it does appear there was some problem with that single file on the installation.
I installed SP as per instructions by downloading it, unzipping, upload to site via FTP and then activating.
I ran 2 more Move and Delete tests. I deleted all 5 topics in the General Forum, however when I go back to the main screen it still shows a count of Topics: 5 Posts: 5 which is not correct.
I moved a topic then deleted it from another forum and the count for that forum looks correct on the main screen.
Please see the attached pdf for screenshots.

John
Yes FileZilla, why is there an issue with it? I'm using the most current version.
Not using caching plugin. But if I was, I did read the install documentation for setting the Forum page so that it's not cached.
I just visited the forum again and the General forum now shows Topics: 0. So this may have been a browser caching issue.

John
FileZilla has given a lot of problems in the past with corruptions to files. But not so much recently. I think as soon as what you are uploading gets close to the 2 MB total size then problems seem to be more common.
Anyway - keep an eye on the numbers and shout if you think they misbehave...
