I uploaded the featured plugin and I went into the forum and opened the toolbox and selected to feature the topic.
Nothing happened.

not sure what you are saying... you installed and activated the plugin? did you select any topics or posts to be featured? did you add the template tag to your sp theme where you wanted the featured stuff to show?

Oh I see... This is to display the featured topics in a little container somewhere on the theme? So if I was to add the template tag to any area of the theme it would show up i'm assuming is what you are saying.
I actually thought it just highlighted a topic with yellow or something lol

The plugin lets you create a list of featured topics and/or posts in the style of the recent posts widget/template tag...
so yes, mark topics or posts as featured and put the topics or posts template tag where you want the featured list to show...
