It just happened again (even with the combined cache option turned off). When I'm logged in, the forum background is white. But when I'm logged out, it's black. When the background turns black (when I'm logged out), try clicking on any of the topic links in blue there and the next page will have a white background again. It's just the "/forum" page that changes color. So I don't think it has anything to do with the login form.
here, try it out:
not sure what you mean by customize the login form... do you have another plugin (or your wp theme) that is trying to deliver a custom login form was the question... If so, its probably being overly greedy and try to customize the wp login form inside the forum... would be three ways to fix... one, fix the plugin/theme... two, remove the plugin/theme... three, remove the inline login form in the forum header... obviously, we can help with number three if you like... it would just replace the inline login form with a link to the wp login page...

Your WP-Super-Cache is caching your forum pages. You should put /forum/ in the pages to be ignored section. Then delete the saved cache.

I followed your advice and deleted the cache from WP Super-Cache plugin and now the forum background is white again! (even when I'm logged out!). So I found this little section under the "Advance" tab of the WP-Super-Cache setting that says:
"Add here strings (not a filename) that forces a page not to be cached. For example, if your URLs include year and you dont want to cache last year posts, it’s enough to specify the year, i.e. ’/2004/’. WP-Cache will search if that string is part of the URI and if so, it will not cache that page."
I added /forum/ to the box there. Hope this will do it.
Thanks!
It looks like it is not loading the theme's overlay file. Can you try with the CSS-only theme? If you don't have it you can get it here. https://simple-press.com/downl.....ad-themes/ If it works that will help narrow it down to an overlay loading issue.
