Hi,

some users reported that browsing forum with iPhone they are not able to see the attachment button that is present with pc visualization, so cannot upload files.

Is this normal behavior or I have to collect more detailed information to investigate the issue?

Thanks in advance

Marco

If it is some and not all then we really could do with knowing the difference between the two groups if that is going to be possible...?

May be I was not clear but I mean that all iPhone users report the same behavior, compared with pc users that instead see that button and the theme is the same, both for mobile and pc.

So I asked to understand if this is a normal behavior because (may be) the uploader system doesn't works with iOS or if it's something to investigate further.

If with iPhone it should work, I'll collect as many data as I can and report here.

FYI, I'm using CSS ONLY theme.

Ok - apologies. I have now checked with the code and can confirm that the uploader is not currently loaded on mobile devices.

This is probably because it doesn't yet work with mobile browsers in the same way that the tinyMCE editor does not.

The problem to date has been with mobile browsers not supporting what is called, if I recall correctly, the contentEdited protocol. When they do then we can turn on the components. This is something we do watch for and periodically test for and will be doing so again quite soon under out mobile theme development task.

Thanks Andy,

I understand perfectly and don't have doubts that you will solve asap, because mobile users are growning day by day.

Take your time, I'll wait the mobile theme or updates.

Have a good work.

Ehm... what about a raw transitional solution, not so refined like the current one, without drag and drop, that fall back in mobile cases?

Something like a simple field to choose one image a time, with classic button browse/upload?

Not so beautiful but may be working...

a lot of work, but noted... ;)

obviously would rather just see mobile browsers provide better js support... no reason not to these days...
