The code seems to just hide the uploader and not disable it from loading. It's still having the same issue with the textarea.

I've created a test website and forum which is having the same issues, here's a thread where guests can post: http://sp.webduivel.be/forum/a.....st-thread/

The thread is made on my computer so you can see the upload is working fine on it.

If you need an account to check options/back-end I'm happy to give it.

yes, that was the intention...  When I read your previous posts (and still read it the same) was under impression you could do posts until you tried to use the uploader, then things went south...

so are you now saying regardless of any activity, you simply cannot post on mobile?

did this post with an ipad3, btw just to see...

Posting is possible, but if you close the keyboard and then try to select the editor again it doesn't work.

Also, I know the editor works on your forum but the uploader doesn't for me. It just doesn't work on mine and I don't know why.

The editor only works on mine when I deactivate the upload plug-in.

odd... thought the issue was with uploading... we have no reports of such behavior...

wow, just looked at your site.. very nice custom sp theme you have there... well done!

and I do also notice that you that violates the wp standards... its loading an external version of jquery instead of the jquery library that comes with wp...

<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js"></script>

in fact, you are loading that script twice...

so that could be the root of the problem...  I would first track down why loading two versions... and then see about using the jquery library that comes with wp... thats the only version that other plugins can expect and test with...

Glad you like the theme :) was a lot of work.

The jQuery version being loaded externally is the same version as WordPress uses, it's just using Google CDN to speed up delivery.

I've changed it to the default WordPress version again and it's only loading it once now but the issue is still there :/

technically, its not the same version (I believe) as its not using noconflict... or historically that has been an issue...  and rarely will it be faster since the browser will likely have cached it anyways... ;)

but if no change with standard wp version, then was worth the try...

still a bit mystified as the lone report thus far...  will keep digging...

If you need an administrator account to look at the files I can give you one. The site is on a test domain so if something breaks it's not ruining anything : )

perhaps... unfortunately, your issue is with IOS which has basically nonexistent development tools, so hard to tell anything... and to top if off, the file uploader uses a third party library and a flash uploader, so we can't get info from it either... and if there is a problem in that, we would just have to report the problem upstream...

but still digging, just got occupied this afternoon...

I have been following this thread and I have just re-read it and I am still a little confused. So please excuse me if I have misunderstood something or am going over old ground...

You seem to suggest that you are unable to upload images and/or use the editor on THIS support site using an iPad or iPhone. Is this actually the case? Because if it IS the case then I think we need to be looking into what other software you may have that may be effecting things. I use an iPhone 5, iPad 2 and iPad Mini Retina quite regularly and have no problems editing, uploading etc. For this I use a mix of the Safari browser (which I do not like) but more often Mercury, which I do.

Now while looking at your site this morning using my iPad Mini - I can not actually access the editor at all. The text area is just unavailable completely. is this actually what you see as it is not what I understood the problem to be from the previous posts. (There is no attachments button either).

I also have one question regarding the editor toolbar options. I see you have changed them from the default as we supply them. If you out it back to the default set of buttons does that make any difference. I.e., back to a state that is known to work correctly?
