Support Forum
Good day Mr. Pappa and Yellow Swordfish.
Hope you are all well.
My Forum with your help is up and running.
however, yesterday I wanted to change some permissions and do general housekeeping.
I generally use FIREFOX as my browser.
What happens is: in WP admin Forum menu, I open item, lets say "Manage groups andforums".
It will open that menu item, BUT when I then want to go to lets say "Permissions, manage permissions", that item does not want to open in the browser. It is like some cell phones, It gets stuck on the same item. I deactivated all plugins, but to no avail.
I restarted FIREFOX and rebooted computor, - with same results.
I went through whole procedure just now again since I thought it could be my internet connection, but no!!
Then I opened CHROME - and everything works. even with all plugins activated.
Anything I could try to avoid problems with FIREFOX???? - it is afterall after IE the biggest Browser community.
NB:The forum management, I tested in IE works well, as in chrome.
Kind regards
Charles
So - just Firefox?
Suggests to me that there is either something wrong with your Firefox install or you perhaps have an extension installed that doesn't play nicely with WP. Oy maybve you have something running some scripts in your admin that Firefox doesn't like. Remember all browsers run their own javscript engines.
I do have to suggest that this is some sort of environmental issue with your set up. We have thousands of users and Firefox is possibly the most used browser. Steve and I use it daily.
Open the error console and see of you are getting script errors (Errors tab).
