I am not aware of any issues with the font resizer with your much older alpha version but its possible... as you say working here...

its also possible its one in conflict with the wp 3.2 js that we kept band aiding before forcing the designed for wp 3.3 on the beta...

are you getting any js errors on the topic view? maybe with a link, we could look too...
