Getting to grips with our new Simnple Press forum and loving it. I have a question:
I'd like to post Announcements which appear at the top of all forum pages. I understand I can do that with the Display Featured Posts & Topics plugin which I have installed and I have selected the 'Feature this post' option in the toolbox but nothing seems to happen.
How do I get a particular post to display everywhere without members having to drill down to find it?
I don't want to use the description or insert text option because I need these to be live posts which people can answer.

There are multiple ways you could do this... But the feature topics and posts plugin is probably not one of them... here are a couple I would suggest:
1) Simply edit the wp page the forum appears on... Any text in the page content will appear before the forum on the page... you could add your html and css to the announcements to highlight however you want... This method would work best if you just want to enter the announcement each time manually...
2) Use one of our hooks to precisely locate it where you want... For example, use the action 'sph_BeforeDisplayStart' to output some text before the forum display... This method would work best if you wanted to add the announcement programattically... That is, add it from another plugin, database or other piece of code...
So go with one of those whichever suits your needs best...
