Guess I'm the newest member for now.

I just installed the forum plugin for my new forum but can't seem to find the option to post a poll in the forum. I played around and got to enable poll option in the permission settings but still no luck.

I'll appreciate some help on this.

Just if need be, here is a link to my forum: http://www.afterschoolafrica.com/forum

Well we do not assume you will want to allow polls in all of your forums so you need to edit the forums where yo DO want to allow polls and enable them (Manage Groups and Forums)

Oh. Thanks Yellow Swordfish. It works fine now.

One more thing, I'm also having issues with getting Editor (TinyMCE - Rich Text) to work. I not sure if I should start a new thread for this question or go ahead with it.

I've searched the forum for solutions and found solutions like deactivating Contact7, Wp user frontend and exempting some pages from wp cache plugins (I'm using Wp super cache and excluded entire pages from the cache settings) which I did but still doesn't work. I have a good number of plugins on my blog. Deactivating all of it to figure the one probably causing the problem would be no picnic for me. Do you have any possible suggestions?

I just hope I'm doing the right thing posting this here.

Generally there are two reasons if the editor does not show up. One - currently - is if you are using the WishList tags plugin although this is about to be rectified.

The second is a javascript conflict of some sort and this will usually be along the lines as described in this codex article on the subject: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/

if the latter it can usually be sorted fairly easily once the source of the problem - i.e., the loading code - has been identified

After deactivating and activating a couple of plugins, WP minify was actually responsible for the malfunction. Too bad they both cannot work together.smile Guess the blog will learn to live that..

yes, wp minify messes with a lot of plugins... does pretty good with just wp js, but when it does plugins and themes, all hell can break loose...

besides, the forum js is already minified which causes other problems if you minify already minified js...  if you can tell it to ignore a specific wp page, you could still keep using it...
