Is there a fast way to delete spam replies? Data Pruning only gets posts.. I incorrectly set my forum to allow guests to post and have 4 pages of spam. I rather not sit there and click the delete button and wait for refresh. Data Pruning plugin only deletes post spam. Maybe I can do this via phpmyadmin?

I would use the admin bar.... you can click a button and it deletes... no page reloads... just click the next one...

I installed the admin bar plugin and even enabled postbag but the only delete button I have is the one next to the post if I am logged in as admin. When I click that the page refreshes and takes 5-10 seconds. Is this the delete button you are talking about?

I guess I am not explaining this clearly. I have a bunch of replies to a post that need to be moderated at this link http://doggroominginhouston.co.....ng-process. When I click delete on a bot's spam reply the whole page refreshes. I want to find a way like the database pruning plugin where I can quickly mass delete replies to a post instead of deleting post to a forum.

Maybe it is the fact that I installed the plugin a few month after I installed the forum. I see that is says 0 need moderation in the admin bar but in the actual post there is 50+ spam replies that are waiting moderation.

If the forum admin bar plugin has labeled the post as spam, it will be available in the admin bar... in the admin bar settings, have you enabled akismet? that is what does the spam detection... or are you just calling the posts spam because you think they? some confusion might be on who is labeling them as spam... we were assuming you meant admin bar and akismet was marking the posts as spam...

if you have akismet running, what option did you set for handling spam?

these 'spam' posts, are they visible posts or hidden? again perhaps terminology, but in our vernacular, need moderation, means the forum has marked them as needing moderation and has them hidden from view of regular users... or are you just saying you need to handle these posts and treat them as spam?

big difference in terminology... if they are just posts made to your forum that you think are spam, you will have to delete the posts manually... if they are spam or in moderation as determined by the forum, they will be visible in the admin bar... also, on the admin bar options panel at forum - admins - global admin options, what do you ave for the two options that start with 'Approve all posts...'? that will affect how some posts show in the admin bar if you have multiple admins on your site...

but to iterate, if posts have made it to your forum as regular posts, they will have to be handled individually... if the admin bar has moderated them (based on your moderation settings) or if akismet has marked them as spam, they should be in the admin bar to handle...
