They do nothing, do not lead to anywhere. My client just had new theme installed and that is when the problem started but i need to know how to resolve it. Most buttons are clickable however. Thanks

usually its because of a wp theme issue of not following wp standards and api causing js/jquery conflicts...
see: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/
nothing jumps on the main forum page - of course I cannot see any further since you block guests...
those buttons wont lead anywhere, they use onclick attribute to expose hidden forms...
can you go to forum - toolbox- housekeeping and try clearing the combined js cache?

What it looks like is that any component that calls a script routine to open up a new section (like the login form, the editor, the advanced search form) is just simply failing to do so. The problem is that it is NOT reporting any error or warning as to why this might be. And this is not only unusual but, in my experience, unheard of.
So this started with a new WP theme correct? Does this theme have any code/script options that might be the cause?
By the way - it is still loading the scripts form the combined cache file. Can you keep it turned off until we get to the bottom of this? (Forum admin > Options > Global Settings).
