Well - it uses the global $_SERVER['REDIRECT_URL'] to build the URL. IS there any way that perhaps this is not getting populated? But even if that were the case - it doesn't really explain the index.php...

I had to restore the entire site... could be some bad data on the sql or somethin?

just the permalink... it takes the forum permalink to main page and appends ?mark-read... not sure how it could get that one wrong, but all the others right...
*** edit... missed Andy's point about redirect url...

interesting.. why URL vs URI? since its an ajax request wonder if its picking up the index.php from the ajax handler??
what does it look like if you go down a few pages... say to viewing a topic?

I tried.. but no luck on that page as on all other pages it goes to the same URL mysite.com/index.php?mark....
Sorry MrPapa my english is not very good... so sometimes I don´t explain well myself and other times I don´t understand very well...

the actual link in the display is wrong (can see now that I have 2 unread posts on your site)...
so as Andy said, the $_SERVER['REDIRECT_URL'] from your server is not getting calculated right... and its a server variable so not much we can do about it... are your routing through any kind of proxy?
