Hey Wendell,
My guess would be there is some kind of conflict between your WP theme and forum CSS. Will gladly take a look but of course for that we would need access. If you could PM me, Yellow Swordfish and Mr Papa with a link to your site, login details and a brief description of the problem with a link to this thread one of us can take a look.
As for styling, not sure what you mean and it's hard to tell from the screenshot but we can take a quick look at that too..
OK - For the future, please when you private message an admin include all admins. We are in different timezones and have different abilities so it's always useful to include all three, it will get looked at quicker in most cases and if one of us doesn't know the answer the other might!
In this case, the reason no names are appearing seems to be because it's getting stuck in loading state. Checking the console I can see three conflicts - one with BP chat and one with the mentions plugin. My guess would be this is somewhat related although I don't know for sure.
On the mentions plugin we are getting:
TypeError: this.editor.__bindings is undefined
Which basically means it's never going to load. The conflict should be resolved to rule it out - Are you able to disable BP chat?
I've had a quick look around and the only plugin I can find called bpChat is this one which appears to be in beta still.
I would suggest talking to the plugin developers directly. Since it's still in beta you'd hope they'd be interested in fixing any problems, however conflicting with a forum plugin that isn't bbPress could put them off!

this is the bpchat plugin that ive been using --> http://codecanyon.net/item/wor.....n/10776067
if i get to talk to the developer, what should i tell him?
The simplest way - using Firefox for example (although other browsers have their own tools) is to right click on the page and choose 'Inspect Element', then choose the 'Console' tab.
Make sure the 'JS' box is set to show errors and not warnings, then you might need to refresh the page, but keep the browser console open and you should see errors appear.
