Hi,

I'm using the Multisite version of WordPress. I have Simple-Press installed on one site- http://www.agriweb.net.au/thecottage. When I visit the http://www.agriweb.net.au/thec.....-login.php page and click on register- it takes me to: http://www.agriweb.net.au/wp-signup.php- a registration page for the main site. How do I go about setting up a registration area for new members to have access to the forum?

Thanks.

not sure I follow... their is not a registration for the forum, only wp...  and wp multisite uses the wp-signup.php page for registrations that create new blogs or just regiser on the main site without creating a blog...

so probably need more info on what you want to do...

and each network site or the main site is a unique install...

Ok, sorry If I wasn't clear. I figured out how to setup registration another another side I am also using the SimplePress on. However on this one- because it's using multisite- when I go to http://www.agriweb.net.au/thec.....-login.php and click on register- its takes me to http://www.agriweb.net.au/wp-signup.php. Arg. I don't want them to register for the main site.

where is that register link coming from?  there should be a valid register link for all network sites, assuming the network site is allowing registrations..  in the network site dashboard (not netwok admin - but each site admin) make sure registrations are allowed on wp - settings - general...

I tried that. There is no option for allowing registrations from the network site. I have included a screen shot.

I really need Mr Papa on this one as my knoiwledge of multi-site is negligible. and he is unable to get to the forum at the moment. I will specifically ask him to respond when he can however.

I dont see a screenshot...  but works fine for me...  how are you putting the registration link on the network site??  its not auto done by wp though many themes do it...

have you tried a direct link?  http://mysite.com/network-site.....n=register

I tried the direct link like you said- http://www.agriweb.net.au/wp-signup.php and that is what I was redirected to. I don't know what I am doing wrong. But something just isn't clicking. Is there a way to private message you and then I could give you access and have you see whats up? If you are okay with that? We could compensate you if needed.
