Support Forum
Hello,
I just became a member and I installed a couple of plugins and activated them but I am still very confused about them. In particular, I installed and activated the file uploader plugin and the TinyMCE plugin, but when I go to my forum and try to write a post I can't figure out how to use either of them. They don't seem to be appearing correctly...
Please help me!
p.s. here is a screenshot of what it looks like with all of the options expanded... I don't see any file upload button or font options...
I can clearly see there is no editor showing up and I assume - as you have clearly and successfully used the image uploader on the above post - that your uploader is similarly non-functional and, depending on whether this is the case, there can be different causes.
If both are non-functional then there is a strong chance that you have a JavaScript conflict from either your WP theme or perhaps another WP plugin which needs to be fixed. This codex article explains what this means and what to look for: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/
If only the editor is missing we can look at other causes but perhaps we need to take these one a time so we can start to eliminate possibilities more clearly. And a link to your forum page might prove useful.

Thanks for your reply. This is my forum: http://kakehashijapan.com/prob.....ers/forum/
Well you appear to have 3 separate copies of the jQuery library being loaded - 2 of them 9the ones that should NOT be loaded) both appear to be loaded by your WP theme. Which is even weirder!
Also - a plugin called CubePM is throwing a jQuery script error (on it's autocomplete library) which is enough to stop the scripts from working on it's own.

works better when theme and plugin developers follow the wp guidelines, standards and api...

Hello,
I just signed up. Really happy with Simple Press.
I am having a similar problem. I activated Post Ratings (stars) and it is not showing up on the forums.
Site: http://www.veteranventures.org
Can anyone suggest a reason or solution?
thanks
how is this related to this topic? best to open your own topic for new issues...
you activated? is that all? it takes more than that to get ratings up and running... you need to pick the rating type and choose which forums you want ratings on...
please see: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....st-rating/ for more info...
