Support Forum
Hey guys! Probably missed something, hope you can inform me..
Installed some plugins via the zip file upload and was wondering, why they are not showing here?

1 of the plugins is the "TinyMCE Rich Text" and what I understand is that it has to be enabled in "Administration page – Options – Global Settings", but I see nothing:

Cheers.
Did you use the Simple Press plugin uploader? And not the wp plugin uploader? These are simple press plugins, not wp plugins...

Yes, the Simple Press plugin uploader:

Just checked and they are in the correct plugins folder: wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins
Can you check the permissions on the /sp-resources AND the sp-resources/forum-plugins folders? I suspect they can not be read.
In fact - check at forum admin > integration ? storage locations - this might tell you. If the general permissions are set correctly it is possibe that the GUID/UID (ownerships) are badly set. It should inherit from the wp-content folder but we have heard - rarely - of it failing.

Permissions for folders sp-resources and sp-resources/forum-plugins looks ok:

Also in Integration > Storage Locations:

Some File Manager type applications within server control panels (like cPanel) do, I believe, show the ownership settings on folders when you query the permissions. I personally am unsure about any desktop client apps that might do so although I am sure there are some.
Basically you need the ownership to be the same on all the sp-resources folders as it is for the WP wp-content parent folder. I feel sure your hosting support would be willing to look and correct if necessary. It is likely that it is a server setting that would set it incorrectly in any case if this is the issue. And it is the most common reason if actually rare.

Contacted my host support and they could not detect any problems. But managed to solve the problem myself
Checked a few threads in the forum, and because of this one I decided to check my "Error Log": https://simple-press.com/suppo.....n-failure/
Turned out there was some yellow marked errors like this:
"public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/announce/sp-announce-upgrade.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory"
Tried delete the plugin "Announce" and it went from

To
