I have a lot of images that I post. I'm trying to keep all the commenting in the Forum and none in the blog. I'm set up to do that using the Blog post linking plugin so all is good with that but is there anyway to not have it as a topic until someone clicks on the link to comment? I want people to be able to comment on any post that might interest them but I'm trying to avoid having a lot of empty topics in the Forum.

I'm sorry to say I can't think of any way we can get around this. But it is a reasonable scenario and I will at least add the notion to our list of enhancements we plan to make to blog linking.
I will ask my colleagues here as well in case I am missing anything

I am not sure I see a viable way to do it without modifications to the plugin as Andy says....
