Messages are making it into the mailbox (we can see our test emails in there as unready) but they're not making it into sp.

Sorry about the posting. I just re-read the instructions and see that I wasn't deleting as I should.

Thanks!

did we ever check whether the WP cron task is actually running? Did you perform a manual run of the task?

I'm sorry, I don't know what that means.

Then you wouldnlt have tried it.

PBE uses what is a sort of Cron - a scheduler of tasks - to read the mailboxes. This is a WordPress sub-system that SP hooks into. The WP Cron can be notoriously finicky. It mostly works once it IS working but it has been known to stop for no apparent reason.

So try this. G to the forum admin > Toolbox > CRON Inspector.

Look in the Active CRON list for one with a hook name of sph_emailpost_cron. Over on the left it will tell you when it is next expected to be run.

Now on the bottom of this panel is a section titles 'Run CRON'. Enter that hook name and click on the Update CRON button. Make a note of what happens and then go to the email log and see if there are any entries.

well that doesn't make any sense. There is not an if statement within several lines of line 59.
What version of the PBE plugin is this please?

Well that's not good news but at least we have a possible solution.

Version 1.1.1, which I just noticed is not the latest version.  We will update it on Monday.

I have to wonder if there is a corruption there from the download. As I say - there is not now and never has been an IF statement on line 59.... so something was clearly wrong there.
