The following error shows up when we try to use the Private messaging and it seems to apply to everyone attempting to use it. This started after the latest update to 5.7 yesterday.

By the way, I still have to manually install all the updates.

I can confirm that as of new SP version, Private Messaging is completely broken and pressing "PM user" redirects the browser (in my case) to one of my "Contact admin" (non-SP) sub-pages for unknown reason. Worked fine before update to 5.7.

P.S. Yes I have the new version of PM installed (Version 2.2) and also ALL the latest themes, plugins, etc.

That solved the problem. Just going to Integration -> Page and permalink and pressing "Update" without changing anything.

Could you tell us if you updated anything else AFTER Simple:Press and any Simple:Press plugins? The reason I ask is that the upgrade process does perform a permalink update when finished but we have come across the odd occasion where another plugin breaks the permalinks until a manual update os performed. And that, of course, we would like to try and deal with if possible...

I don't think so, although I'm not 100% sure. I updated the SP, then SP Plugins (all at once), then SP themes. After that I went testing the forum and found this bug. I don't think there was something in between.

I always do all the updates except for my theme. I still haven't attempted to build a child-theme. Have no idea where to even start with that. LOL

As for the order of the updates, I just begin to download all the folders and upload as I take them in. No particular order at all so this could have been the problem. Recommendations for the future?

Thanks, this fixed the problem. While we are on the subject, loading my PM always takes a very long time. Same thing with sending. It could be that I have too many messages but is there a way for me to cache the messages or do something to speed the PM up?

Is it just that there are so many in the inbox that it takes time to load up all the details? We do have a task on the development list to add paging which would help with this if this is the problem, but no ETA currently I am afraid...

I believe this is the problem. Too many on a page. I haven't removed many messages because I sometimes need to be reminded of who certain people are. Sometimes being able to review old messages helps tremendously thus making me look less like a fool. LOL

Looking forward to the messaging pages update. Thanks
