Private Posts as default in a forum

Is it possible to make all new topics created in one forum as private by default, i.e., you don't have to select "private post" when you make the topic, and make any subsequent replies?

afraid not... what you really want is closer to a private topic plugin... which we have set out a couple times to create but run into serious difficulties each time...
however, what you ask for is somewhere between the private post plugin and a full blown private topic plugin (at least as we envisioned it)... what you desire is probably doable with fairly minor revisions to the plugin or use of hooks... but frankly, the first time requested... so we can consider it, but....
