Your hosting will almost certainly come with phpMyAdmin. Probably from your hosting control panel. Load up that, load the database so you see the list of database tables and the row count is shown in one of the columns.

I don’t know. If the total count was whittled down from over 11000 to 200 then why they were not all removed from Wp user table is a good question as the same code is called for each user. Is there something significant and different about the 2800 users?

200 memebrs in simple press..although I noticed they are still joining by the flocks..spammers that is and I have the newest plugin..so I dont know.  Worpress says there is a total of 3000 users, a lot fo those spammers too..

are you using a plugin for wp such as theme my login that allows you to approve accounts before they are active?

Well we can’t help you with spammers joining your site but let’s get back to the data and the members count in the stats. If you really only have a couple of hundred bona fide users then while it would be useful to get rid of the rest in the WP users tale it is not essential for Simple:Press. The important count is the sfmembers table row count.

So that – I believe was around the 200 mark. And what do the stats say now?

how can spammers join your site if you added a plugin for approving them first?  if you used Theme My Login, did you set up the configuration such that you have to approve registrations?

It wont keep theme from signing up, but they wont get an account actually until you approve it…  If you disapprove it, the account is deleted…
