Hello I have only just found this out today because I use firefox and use the integrated spell check. However the spell checker in tinymce throws a few different errors for different people. I am still collecting data so don't have an exhaustive supply of error messages yet. When I run it I get:

Error response: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Yes on my site Steve, sorry was in a bit of a hurry when I posted. It functions perfectly well on here. The test site is not up to date so I will update it tomorrow and try it.

I get exactly the same on the test site.

I have done a search for that error message and all I can find is references to HTML validation. The only thing that I can find that hints at what the problem might be is this:

http://forum.interaktonline.in.....#038;t=153

Does else anyone have any ideas?

In Chrome & Safari I get the message:

Could not get raw post data.

In IE & Firefox I get  the message

Error response: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

I have tried all the tools on the tincymce tool bar and all function perfectly other than the spell checker.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I can't replicate your actual errors in any way but it doesn't work as advertised. According to the authors the popup list of corrections is getting lost somewhere. I have updated my local test copy and all seems to now be well. We need to test it on Windows boxes and if all is well there then there will be a fix in the next update.

The Firefox/Gecko built in spell check is far better on the whole however.

Ok but not sure if that will solve this for me, I can see the language drop downs.

Let me know when you have committed something that I can down load and try on the test site. Appreciate your time as ever.
