Afraid I remain at a complete and total loss. These are just notices. They have no impact on the result although they do, curiously, suggest that the widget options you set up had not been saved which is a bit of another puzzle because without saving them how could it display anything!

There is also a suggestion that for some reason not all of the default values around the system have been pre-filled. The only time I have seen this before has been when someone installed SP and then deleted it instead of uninstalling it and then re-installed again later. I assume this is not the case here. But again - it would have no impact on the data returned for filling the widget.

I throw it open... has anyone else got any ideas we have not looked at

kind of sounds similar to what I was going through a couple years ago

kvr28 - that's a really good point - wow I had forgotten about that one.

Right - to save you too much effort reading the first question is - are you able to look at your database tables? I.e,. using a tool like phpMyAdmin via your hosting control panel.

If yes then can you take a look at the table named XXX_sfmeta (where XXX is your WP table prefix). You are looking for a row (or rows) where the 'meta-type' column has a value of 'topic_cache'. The question is - is there more than one row with this value?

If there are then delete them BOTH. Actually deleting a single row might be useful too just in case.

Wow, great to read some new suggestions and a most relevant topic at that!

I can see 3 ‘topic_cache’ lines!

Should I delete all 3 or just the first one?

All of them please. The system will rebuild one when you next run a  page. We can find no reason why there should be multiple rows and this would only be the second time we seen this but clearly we will need to delve a little deeper.

IT WORKED!!!

Thank you very much to all who kindly responded here, and especially to kvr28 who helped identify the cause!

Yes, please definitely delve into the cause of the multiple topic caches as I don't wish to go under the hood again anytime soon! laugh

Excellent. Glad we finally got there. Thanks @kvr28 for the timely reminder. Appreciate it.

I have opened a ticket for 5.6.2 to put in place a more rugged check on there only being a single record. So a rarity but hopefully soon to be a problem of the past.

Yellow Swordfish, thank you very much for your patience and guidance!

I was almost at my wits' end and about to uninstall the plugin today when I saw the new replies by kvr28 and you.

The bottom line is that there is a reason for everything... it's just sometimes a little hard to find 🙂
