Thought I would try version 5 today and I am having an issue with removing or changing images once they are posted.
These are the issues.
1. The thumbnail although set to 250px is remaining at 100.
2. After uploading an image and then deciding to remove it I get an error. Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/agnithos/public_html/wptest/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/plupload/library/sp-plupload-components.php on line 523
3. Once an image is posted and I want to edit the post to change it or add more images there is no browse button that I can see, no upload button appears. How is it done?
which thumbnail?? the one on forum - components - uploads? when using the sp file uploader plugin of course...
where and how are you trying to remove it? using the forum tools?
currently, you can not edit a post and add new images... we have had a couple of recent requests for that (we just assumed one would add a new post), so we may add it in during a future release...

Yes the thumbnail on the forum post.
Im using the forum tools as an admin. Click remove attachment, select the attachment, click remove post attachment, the page refreshes and nothing has been removed and the error message appears above the forum.
Without the facility to edit/replace and image after posting it my live forum would become a complete mess. Many times members edit their posts before replies.
are you using the image enlarger? forum - options - content settings... you may be forcing a smaller thumbnail there...
I will have a look at the forum tools... its been working fine with no other reports... but possible something got knocked...

so both forum - components - uploads and forum - options - content settings have the thumbnail set to bigger than 100px?
any other plugins that deal with images?
do you have a link to your site?

Ah OK its my fault regarding the thumbnails as I had not seen these additional settings. So that now works fine.
Now I see these additional settings, I see one for "Show uploads inserted into post content (applies to images and media) in the attachments section below post content:" This is enabled, and I can explain a little better I hope.
The issue is removing the shown uploads that were inserted into the post. The image can be removed by highlighting it and hit return but the shown upload for that post cannot be removed. I presumed to do this you use the forum tools.
In addition after removing the image there is no upload button shown and no browse facility to find your previously uploaded images. You can click the image button but you have to know the url of the image you want to use which is no good for normal users. (unless I am missing something else)
I have pm'd you the details to see the site.
Thanks for your patients with my explanations.
as explained earlier, you should remove the attachment with the forum tools...
and you are correct, when you edit a post, you cannot edit the attachment... its not as easy as it sounds, and frankly didnt think folks would want that... but we have had a couple requests for it, so we have an open ticket to display the upload stuff on edits for adding new uploads though it may not allow users to remove (tbd)... likely will not make it into 5.0 either this close to final release...
yes, this is a file uploader, not a file manager... as such it uploads images, media and attachments to a new post... it is not a facility for managing all uploads for a user... 99% of our users hated the file manager we used before and wanted a much simplified file uploader... sorry, we just cannot please everyone...
of course, now with a full plugin api for sp5.0, anyone can write a plugin to do this... and we may even try some day... I expect once we get 5.0 out, we will look at some file uploader improvements and management tools...

I know you cant please everyone but if like me you have a forum that uses a lot of images these facilities are needed and should be available, after all version 4 has this functionality
