...Notice | Trying to get property of non-object
That was just a warning. You had 2 of the same SP plugins installed.
I removed the duplicate Subs and uploader. Then activated them. The posts now show and no DB error message or anything in the error log. You should check the options for both of those and make sure they are what you want.
The email should be using port 995 and SSL on, TLS off. Did you create an email address for the testing forum's one in Pair's email setup?
Tried to uninstall, but it just showed as deactivated. Is there a way I should have uninstalled rather than using the uninstall link?
I was seeing the same with some other updates. Looks like you cleaned them all up.
The explanation for the error doesn't explain why I can't see the existing topics, especially since it allowed me to post them.
Brandon, can you access it or do you also get the denied error?
Email account was set up yesterday when I reinstalled the SP email plugin. Pair's site said imap was 995, so that's what I was using.

If you end up with two of the same plugins you either have to use FTP or your server's file manager and delete the duplicate folder name that ends in a 1. I used FTP to do so.

Nope I am no longer seeing the error and I do see the posts you made.

Cool. Check your PBE email log and you will see it says "Connection to mailbox failed" so it's not connecting for some reason. We may need to wait until Andy get's back to get his input as to why.
Thanks. I saw you changed it and I ran the cron job manually to see what would happen. It still can't connect. I can connect to the mailbox using the same setup in my PC's email program so there must still be something amiss either in the plugin or in your imap setup. I suggest we wait until Andy get's back so we can see if there is something in the plugin that needs checked.
he should be back from vacation tomorrow...

Apologies - I missed this thread when I returned from vacation.
I assume from the above you still have connection issues. If you connect to one of these mailboxes via your email client - using POP3 - do the settings (port etc) all match the settings in the Sp email setup?

@Terri - I ran a couple of tests to see what it's doing now after a PBE plugin update.
@Yellow Swordfish
I setup an email client with the same settings as is in the PBE setup and it tested fine. It can connect to the mailbox and showed no errors.
Settings are port 995, ssl on, tls off
Ran the check for email cron manually and got "Connection to mailbox failed" in email log.
Checked the SP error log and see this:
file: e.sitename/public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/post-by-email/library/sp-email-post-process.php
line: 59
function: Unavailable
Warning | imap_open() [function.imap-open]: Couldn't open stream {email@email.com:995/pop3/notls/ssl}INBOX
I changed the email address and sitename above for security reasons...
The PBE settings page does say "Your PHP installation includes the IMAP library..." and the test connection button appears to do nothing that I can see when clicked. (no popup, page reload, etc)
Is there any way that SSL can be turned off so it can be tested without that?
The warning message that displays the call looks as it should be and the only thing in there I can't test is the demand for SSL...
Sorry - I should have told you (and forgot) that the test connection requires the update to the sp-common.js file as well. But in any case it will only give you the same response.
