ok guys. I got it working.

Now the only thing I did was checked my plugin lists and deleted a plugin called.

Multibyte patch for japanese. Why I have this I do not know.

But after deleting that plugin….tinyMCE appeared.

Stranger things happen at sea but…..that one was strange to me.

Wow! All that! Multibyte processing can cause all sorts of hidden problems especially as not all of php supports it yet I believe. Although this was probably more to do with whatever code might have been ‘listening ‘ to the text – perhaps interfering.
