Hello there

I'm currently using ShareThis plugin, but I don't like it very much, because It makes me share posts only on my personal facebook board.

For pages, I'm using a WP plugin called ReallySimpleShare, wich allows me to share on facebook groups and pages (and I really need to share on groups and pages since my website is a gaming community)

So, I would ask 2 things. Is there any way to allow ShareThis to share forum posts and topics on facebook pages and groups?

And, if no, since ReallySimpleShare got a shortcode, where I should place it to let him show in same spot as ShareThis share? (on top of topics and at bottom of every posts).

Thanks

as to share this, we are really limited by what the share this 3rd party application supports... quick check and its not clear that they support it...

certainly you can replace your our share this buttons with any other one from wp...  but it may not work unless its smart enough to calculate the correct page...  since every page of simple press appears on the same wp page (there really isnt multiple pages), if they just take the url of the wp page, it will always point to your main forum page...  they have to use the canonical url of the page (readily available)....

if you want to try, just look at your sp theme in the desired template files and find the share this calls... sharethis will be in the function call, so should be readily noticeable... just replace them with the function call to your other plugin... if all you have is a shortcode, you can use the wp function do_shortcode() to process it in the template file...

I cant be more specific on where because our themes do it differently... if you tell me which sp theme you use, I can show a specific example...

as always, if you edit a theme, we strongly recommend you make a child theme or create your own sp theme...
