When trying to upload the plugin folders the server would not let me have access to the appropriate file until I reset the permissions.

After uploading the plugin files I now get this error when trying to access my forums.

The /sp-resources file was set to 750 and GID was apache. After changing this back it still will not work. Any help?!

Mostly we are able to create sp-resources and associated sub-folders successfully but every now and then the server will not allow it and sets permissions that WP and SP cannot use.

The folders need to have the same ownership and permissions as the parent 'wp-content' folder which is not going to be 'apache' and is more likely to be 755 (and 644 for the files within).

Sorry about this but there doesn't appear to be much we can do about forcing settings if the server is determined not to let us! Can you check them all against 'wp-content'.?
