Hello,

I have joined the SimplePress support forum especially for the plugins available.

The first plugin I have installed is the Subscription one, I have installed it but it seems no working since I am not getting the radio button to allow members to subscribe to the topic.

I attach a screenshot to show you the bottom area of the new topic view.

Please, for me is extremely important this feature, thanks.

Regards

I assume that the above screenshot is shown from the point of view of an ordinary member and NOT an forum admin - is that correct?

Assuming this is so - then have you set up the forum permissions to allow your members to subscribe to topics? Fourm admin > permissions > Manage Permissions - where you need to grant them permission to use certain features - one being subscriptions.

Hello,

Thanks for your fast reply.

I did what you suggested and yes! the subscription feature is working fine.

Question:

If in the plugin options I select the "automatic subscription to topic" for all members is there any further action required from them to make it working? Some of my clients are not that clever on understanding how to use the profile options. I just want that anyone who register and add a topic get automatically subscribed.

Is that possible?

Thanks again!

yes, if you check the option to auto subscribe members to topics they post in, any NEW topics they post in, they will become subscribed too... BUT this will only affect new members.. existing members will not have this option set... you can go into the SP profile of current users and set the option manually for them though... also, keep in mind that any user will be able to go into their options and change that setting too...
