I am using the Subscriptions plugin and have it turned on so members can subscribe to a whole forum (not just a topic).

When they click on the subscribe button, the page reloads, but the button doesn't show they are subscribed.  It still shows unsubscribed.

When they click on the subscribe button again, the page reloads and they are subscribed.

Has anyone run into this problem before?

I am not seeing any errors in the console and tried switching to the default theme to see if it behaves differently.

Wordpress 4.1, Simple:Press 5.5.3

FYI... In the background, the first time the user clicks on subscribe, they are added to the list (per Admin area), but the button does not switch.  When I refresh, it displays right.

Thank you,

Ricki

You can go to the test site, http://cdi.officeanimation.com.

id: rickitest
password: eagles

1) On home page, click on member login (top right) to log in

2) Click on Dashboard link on top right

3) Click on Forum in the first grey box in the sidebar to go to the forum.

I am talking about the forum subscribe buttons (see attached image).  Right now I have an undoctored Unified 1.0.9 theme turned on to take the template out of the equation.

All plugins including the forum ones are up-to-date.  Subscription Plugin version 1.4.7

Thanks for your help.

works properly for me...  http://www.cdi.officeanimation.....-open/#p50

does everyone experience this or just some users?  and on one particular browser?  IE for example may have js issues on your site since you have tons of js and css being loaded and may be exceeding the allowed limits in IE (yup stupid limitation in that browser)...  our combined css cache (forum - options - global settings) can combine most of our css and js into single files...

The Add Topic button works properly.  I am talking about the Subscribe to Forum button.

On the forum's home page, there are subscribe buttons next to each forum.  Those are the ones that are misbehaving.

See the red arrow in the image below.  This is on the following page: http://www.cdi.officeanimation.....com/forum/

For me, I get the error in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and IE.

add topic?  never mentioned it...

subscribed via the subscribe button at the bottom of a topic view page...  which is why I asked which subscribe button (there are multiple) you were using...

error?  thought there was no error shown in console?

I dont believe the subscribe forum button will change states...  but will check when I am back at a computer later tonight...

so yeah, looks like it doesnt register the first time... was actually thinking it was some ajax involved there, but no...  will have to open a ticket to see why the first click does not register...  must be some race condition...

worth adding that the subscribe or unsubscribe action does really occur...  you just dont get a visual representation...

thanks for the heads up...
