Hello Simple Press Support.

I have a few questions about the functionality of three of your plugins. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Simple Press - Your core plugin for forum building. My forum is is quite large and I wanted to know if there is a way to shorten the list of available sub boards when looking at a forum. The tree appears to go down quite a few levels for the sub-boards on under the main board. This has become a little cluttered for organization in my archive forum.

Best Answer in Topics - I have not seen any availability to edit settings for this plugin. Is it possible to have the "Best Answer" feature available to Admins or Moderators and possibly only Admins or Moderators? As it is now the ability to mark the "Best Answer" is only available to the person who started the post.

Post in Multiple forums - Is there a way to add this functionality to posts that already exist?

Thank you for your time and assistance with this. Please know that I have greatly enjoyed using your plugin and look forward to continuing to use it going forward.

subforums... are you you showing the whole tree or just the parent?  take a look at:  https://simple-press.com/docum.....subforums/

and see if using 'allNested=0' helps you... will own show you the parent level...

sorry, what do you mean by best answer??  do you mean the answers topic plugin?  the purpose of this plugin is to allow the topic starter to select the post which answers the original post they started...  no current options for allowing only admins or mods to select the answer...

post in multiple forums... its designed for new posts... can you explain how it would work for existing posts?? the post already exists... do you really want to do a 'copy' post to other forums??  which it does not do since its for new posts to multiple forums...

Thank you for the PHP help for the subforums.

Best Answer in Topics is a title for the plugin. Is there a planned plugin or feature that may allow Admins or Moderators to select the best answer in a Topic? This would be helpful for collaborative building of a knowledge base.

I do understand that the Post in Multiple forums plugin is designed to be used for new posts. My thought is for something like a "Terms Of Service" post for forum use. Different users and user groups may have access to separate forums but may all be subject to the same TOS. If a new forum or group is created It would be nice to be able to provide that new group with the same TOS post without needing to copy it. This way, if an administrator makes changes to the TOS post, the new information gets disseminated to each board and group without having to update multiple posts.

I have added an enhancement ticket for the answers topic plugin to allow admins/mods to also select the answer...

Afraid the post multiple is for posting new topics...  we currently do not have a copy post type capability though you really need a bit more than that since your really want them to be forever linked so updates occur...  Nothing like that on the roadmap (first request), but I have made a note of it..  thanks!

you are welcome!

will add that it appears that admins can already pick the answer topic post...  have not checked on moderators...  have you tried with an admin?
