Hey there,
Using Simple Press on a standard WP site, using a multitude of Simple Press plugins.
Using the CSS Theme.
When TinyMCE is activated, the text field in the users signature editor does not work - ie when you click on it you can't actually edit/add any text, thus rendering signatures useless.
The problem is fixed when TinyMCE is turned off, and does not fix using any other theme.
Has anyone come across this before?
Regards,

Getting TinyMCE to work in the profile Signature tab was a pretty tough task in the first place so this is a worry...
Let's start with the most common reason that can cause TineMCE to play up although if this were the case I would have thought it would also apply to forum posts.
Do you have ANY other WordPress plugins that add ANY component to the TinyMCE editor? Any extensions, additions whatsoever. And if you do can you briefly deactivate them, to see if this is the cause of the problem.

I've got absolutely no idea I'm afraid - it's bizarre because when you first load into the profile area and click on the edit signature tab, the problem is there. If you then click back to overview, then back into signature editor, TinyMCE doesn't appear at all, allowing you to edit the sig but only very basically.
OK are you now saying that the editor DOES show up and can be used first time but if you click out and back it is no longer there? If so this is not really what you said at the start of the thread. This is a known problem and one which we believe is either mores something to do with the WordPress implementation of the editor - or - has a problem with the user of Ajax. This one is awaiting a resolution.

We would be happy to take a look for you but would need a user account created so we can access the profile. If that is acceptable to you then...
Please PM credentials to both myself and to 'Ike'. Please include in the PM
- a link to your site
- a link to this thread and...
- a brief reminder of the problem.
and one of will take a look for you to see if we can spot anything obvious.

One quick thing I notice is that according to the source code you have (for some reason!) our SP Syntax Highlighter plugin active yet it is not showing up in the editor. Have you updated it to the very latest version? And, in fact, are all SP plugins up to date?
