I've just installed TinyMCE in my Simple:Press forum, and I see that the editor text area is too large, and exceed from its container. So there is a part of the text I don't see, and can't edit.
I'm using an Arras theme for WP, Classical Gamer, could this problem come from it?

without a link or a screenshot, hard to tell... but suspect you have not given the forum its just width... so couple options...
1 - does the theme offer a full width template you can use for the forum page?
2 - remove some buttons from the editor or move to 2nd row of buttons on forum - components - tinymce editor...
3 - try the stacked sp theme which moves the user area of posts from the left to the top giving it more width...
