Maybe it was by default, or; maybe while I was troubleshooting TinyMCE issue, I may have checked it.

However, I did yesterday identify the plugin which was causing the quicky TinyMCE issues.  It is WP Business Directory Plugin.  It loads a couple of javasripts on all pages.  It should in fact load its script on the pages where businesss diectory plugin shortcodes are inserted... well just a lousy programming.

Thanks.

I cannt remove Business Directory Plugin, so Plugin Optimzer is the solution to keep  badly coded plugins in check from loading on pages where they should not.

I'm having the same issue with TinyMCE, I use Google Chrome so didn't even know there was a problem until I tested it on IE9. The functions above the post reply textarea don't display as mentioned previously in this topic.

I have checked options and everything is seemingly set correctly.

Have tried the Plugin Organizer as suggested but still making no difference, even if I disable everything.

Plugin Organizer (http://wordpress.org/extend/pl.....organizer/) in my case works perfect.  Under Plugin Organizer Admin URL did you put /forum/ slug or complete URL.  In my case Slug worked but plugin developers recommend URL.  Try http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/ (replace yourdomain with your domain name) in Admin URL and first disable all the plugins for the forum page, except SimplePress plugin, by putting checkmarks against each plugin.  Test TinyMCE in IE9, if it works then you can try to enable other plugins one by one.  I would suggest to keep all the WP plugins which use its own jquery libraries disabled for /forum/ page.

Any other IE specific issues?

It would be helpful if he post the URL to his site.  The source code may show if an other javascripts or jquery libraries are being loaded by a plugin.
