I think it looks OK. The only thing I question is the new database name. Are you sure it has 'tt_' in front of it?

And you can import the password but WP will not be able to recognise them I am afraid as they use a different security hashing technique.  But that wont effect the import as such.

I created the new data base and it added the tt in front automatically. I am no mysql expert so perhaps there is a better way to create it?

That is fine on the passwords . The user will just be prompted to create a new password correct?

Thank you for all your help.

Can you tell me how you copied the database and what tools were you using to do it with?

I exported the forum database with  phpmyadmin  and then created a new database in mysql and imported the database with phpmyadmin .

To be honest I am somewhat stumped. The warning error you received actually suggests that one of those fields is empty and that doesn't really make much sense. The vBulletin importer script was actually written by a user so I am not as familiar with it as some of the others. I will have to spend a little time looking through the code to see if I can spot anything - but I do know other users have successfully used it.

As I understand it you are likely to end up with a more comprehensive import from the gconverter team as I believe they do some of their work manually. And as Steve said above - we have had recommendations from users who were satisfied with the work they did.

At the moment I am unable to figure out your problem and I think the only way I would be able to move on it at all would be to have a copy of your database so that i could actually run the import and diagnose what is what. We have done this before for more stubborn db's! It depends on the size to some extent but also on whether you wish to send it of course. If you do we will guarantee that we destroy the copy after the problem has been diagnosed.
