How can I bypass that error message?

I saw something similar here on the forum, but I can't find it anymore.

Thx,

iframes are not allowed because this would be a huge security risk allowing any user to put an iframe in a forum post...

what are you trying to do?

if embedding videos, just use the wp oembed...

I believe in 5.3, there are sufficient hooks in place for you to do this but have not tried...  it would require some coding... we can try to help you if you want to take the risk...

Hey Papa,

Yes I am trying to add an video, it is an .mp4, the only way it works in combination with TinyMCE-Richtext is to select media_dlg.iframe. Then the vidoe plays in the preview box. All other options are not working.

I also saw something to change in WP-Setting - Media the option you mentioned is not longer there in WP3.6.

It is pretty important to add this video because it is the welkome message to paid subscribers, It protected with WishList also.

Thx,

Erik

its an mp4 that you have?  or hosted elsewhere?

if you have it, you should upload it using the sp file uploader plugin... embeds your own media nicely...

Hey Papa,

It is on an diferent server, I play all my movies from a dedicated server. this is to reduce the load time of the entire website and forum.

So yes it is an .mp4 and it looks like i don't have the sp file uploader, or is it the File Uploader with Plupload? Ig have that one installed.

And How do i acces it from with in the post?

Thx.

yes, the same plugin.  Anyone with permission to upload images, media or files can use it...  3 different permissions...

Media can be uploaded to your server using the plUpload File Uploader Simple:Press plugin.

Ad you are the forum admin might it not just be easier - in this instance - to allow iFrames to be used by you only? There is a topic somewhere here with code for that I believe. I will see if I can find it.

we would have to tag team it... multiple filters including the one added in 5.3 for the post validation of iframes... that was the missing link...

now, should be able to filter the allowed html... and then filter the validation and get them...
