Hi all,
I'm doing a fairly major upgrade on my site at present, meaning Wordpress, theme and simplepress - all has gone smoothyl but having just upgraded to the latest SP, on trying to upgrade the plugins (which Simplepress itself says are available) when I try to do so, I am told that 'The plugin is at the latest version.' even though it clearly is not.
This happens with ALL the plugins.
I am happy to uninstall them and reintall from scratch if that will work, but I am conscious that some, like the PM plugin, might risk losing data.
Advice welcome, thanks.
Andy
No, dont uninstall them... you will lose data...
there was one other individual who had something like this before using the wp updater (its core wp)... never did get back with us on the issue, but was resolved by uploading the updated plugins via http://ftp...
you can get the latest from the downloads page, upload it via ftp and see if that gets them updated...
or if you dont have ftp or just dont like it, you could remove the sp plugin files (dont uninstall - remove whole directory per plugin) and then use the sp plugin uploader to upload the latest plugin zips you get from our downloads page...
to understand what is going, would have to get into the innards of the wp updater an see why it thinks the versions match when they dont... it does a version check on the local plugin vs a master db on our server... and clearly the new version check works, but then when wp goes to upgrade, it thinks its at latest version for some reason...
