I have a Shout Box beside my forum. Always a popular item for members. however, the names of the members is different from their usernames in the forum. Is this a WP thing which I suspect it is. And, if so, is there anything I can do about it so the names of those posting in the shoutbox match up with their forum username.
For instance, see attachment. My WP login is adminubb... My simple press username is fineart. But, I show up as my WP login username adminubb
Same with the other 2 I pointed out....

Both WordPress and Simple:Press maintain a different display name. Something we were asked for a long time ago. And makes sense.
You could try the display name format on the forum admin > profiles > profile options panel.Do read the warning note. Of course these things do work best if set up at the start!
