Watch Plugin > Crashed my forum

I just downloaded the ‘Watch” plugin and installed it via the plugin installer inside Simple press. Upon successful installation I clicked ‘activate’. It then white screened and now I can no longer access any part of the forum.

On the dashboard, If I try to access any part through the fly-out menu…it just white screens.

I tried to locate the plugin via FTP client…but I’m not able to locate the plugin the remove it.

Any ideas why this is happening? OR can someone tell me where this plugin is located so I can remove it?

look in your error log… any more info? also check on your server where the watches plugin was uploaded… is the directory its in called ‘watches’ or did it pick up a number in the directory name? if so, change to watches…

via ftp, it would be in wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins…

make sure it called watches and did not pickup a number from wp in the directory name…

Yes, it did pick up a “1” and renamed the file.

Simple fix…kinda weird that it does this though.

 

All fixed :)

It’s a sort of bug in WP. Well – they probably don’t think so but we do :)
