Hi folks
Got 5.00 up and running ok and I'm pleased to say my plugins work fine too. In fact one plugin, WP-Table Reloaded works even better on this theme as it has the proper white background (my previous skin defaulted to the skin's background color/colour )
I've tweaked the color overlay template to increase the font size. I know there is a plugin for font size, but users can use their browser's option for that anyway.
I was going to change the background colour of the Special Group Message because to font color is white and you can't see it. White is perfect for the red background on the headers, so I didn't want to change that. In the end, I moved the graphic replacement url onto the page itself and put my welcome message (which was originally in the Special Group Message) there too. I didn't want to change any backgrounds just yet.
I'm pleased there's a solution for the breadcrumbs issue, which I saw in another post. I'm also very pleased with the icons used in this theme, so I'm leaving them well alone.
Overall, everything seems to working fine. I'm going to place some posts, including videos, galleries and tables - and see how that goes. Later I can tweak the theme's background colours.
So I've just two question:
1. If I were still using the graphic replacement url, could we have a Special Message window under that in the General Display Settings so that it appears directly under the graphic and has the theme's background colour? (not in the Group Settings)
2. Can we have the option to remove New/Recently Updated Topics & Select Forum pulldown menus?
You've done a great job guys!
1- Normally anything you write in the WP page that the forum displays on will be displayed as a normal page/post prior to the forum being displayed. We did have a problem with that earlier and I will need to check with Steve that he has fixed that but that is the best way to get some text above the forum that will then appear on every page.
2 - You can remove, add, alter anything you like via the templates. The two dropdowns in question can be found in the 'spHead' template of the theme you are using.

yes the issue with page content is fixed and working...
I would recommend making your own theme to make changes... at this point in the alpha, your changes may get overwritten by updates we may make to themes/overlays before release...
as Andy says, its a theme now, not a skin... so you can customize away and change up the layout however you want... you have as much power now as you do with a wp theme... that's the intention anyways - and a main goal of the alpha to verify.

sounds good. just be careful you dont lose the overlay addition in spTheme.txt if that file gets updated by us during the alpha/beta...
