I disabled. All the plugins but still the same result. How would I change. The button width to be the same?

Most strange - the only report of this I am aware of which is bizarre!
I really need Mr Papa to detail what you need as I don't have any version of IE available. I am sure he will be able to answer definitively.

If I get a chance to stop by, I will try to take a look and pass this info on. As I said, this is most odd since its not a general issue with SP and IE 8... But it is a holiday in the US today and my time will be greatly limited...

Sorry, what SP theme and overlay (if applicable) are your running? and is it up to date? Can you try a quick switch to a different SP theme?

Hi,
There isn't a great rush on this so please enjoy your hols. I am
Using the default 1.1.3 theme . I have tried the forums theme as well and that
Has the same issue. Its 2nd time I have built my website from scratch with. New installs of WP
And the latest version of SP. Would removing the icons help?

yes, removing the icons in the buttons should resolve it, but not the most elegant looking then...

I still want to see why yours is different...

Looking at it I see you are using the Weaver WordPress theme.

There is an entry in it's style.css file called .content img { that has the max-width at 100%.

Changing it to max-width: none puts the text up where it should go and also displays the user/guest icon on top left and aligns the forum breadcrumbs correctly.

I am not familiar with that theme but if it has an option/menu where you can add overriding custom CSS if you add this it should straighten things out for IE8

#content img {
max-width: none !important;
}

If it doesn't you could edit your WP theme style.css file and change the max-width to none or possible add it to a Simple:Press custom theme CSS file although I didn't check to see if in SP theme if it would work.

Also be sure and check other images on the site after you make the change to be sure nothing else was affected.

Hei,

I edited the Weaver themes style.css and amended it to -

#content img {
margin:0;
height:auto;
max-width:none !important;

}

 but it didnt resolve the issue.

I dont want to take up too much of your time on this so if its easier can you let me know how to remove the icons from the register & watching icons(i think i saw one for removing the login/logout in another thread)

Appreciate all your time on this

Alan

Sorry, I missed it the first time. Your WP Theme's CSS file is being minimized by either a theme config or a WP plugin so it's using http://www.kingsreachcommunity.....?ver=1.2.3 instead.
Removing the icons for those buttons won't fix the other display issues you have. Like the missing avaar and breadcrumbs not lining up correctly.
A quick check of the Waver II theme's support forum http://forum.weavertheme.com/c.....-questions shows tips on how you can add special CSS to that theme that should overwrite the minimized one.
