First we got a fail where certain directories couldnt be installed to. We had to manually create them. Now we have this at http://thechrisvossshow.com/forum what are we doing wrong?
As far as we can tell the directories are right but it still appears some my have issues?
It is pretty unusual for the folder creation SP (and many other plugins) requires to be denied but that, of course, will be your choice in the way your server is set up. The question, however, is when you manually created them did you unzip the files that came with the install into all the locations as required.? I have no way of telling this.
If you did not, then that could account for some of the problems. For example, if you go to the forum admin > Themes panel do you actually see themes listed? Are they installed? If they are not then getting them in place is the first task.
If they ARE installed then go to the forum admin > Options > Global Settings and turn OFF the two options that combine and cache CSS and JS files.
if you now have a more proper display go next to the Integration > Page and Permalink panel and turn on 'Limit forum display to within WP loop' and/or 'Allow multiple loading of forum content' one of which (or maybe both) should sort the double display issue. This is caused by your theme breaking - or perhaps 'bending' would be better - the WP rules.
Assuming that this resolves display issues you still have serious site problems as your website is throwing a large number of JavaScript errors which is stopping other scripts from running at all and, I suspect, causing many scripts you already have installed to mis-function.
This starts on that page with the 'disqus' script and trickles down to stop the FaceBook Connect script and then has a domino effect down the line. But this could just be the order in which they are being run. The FaceBook Connect script has regularly been a 'problem' script for people.
So, somewhere on your installation - theme and/or other plugins - SP is not the only POS you have installed.

When I go into themes area this is in red at the top: Themes Folder: wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes
I dont know if that indicates a problem or not. One of the problems is the error code was very vague we got on loading. Is there a way to send someone a pic? Yes in the theme area it loads themes and we tell them to activate. They are in the directory etc.
We made the changes and it still is not working.
nice title and attitude...
and based on developments, no need to answer...
