Hi guys.

I have updated the default theme and something very strange happened.

The threads are all there, but the posts are gone!

Imagine this: THIS post - that I am writing now here - is there, with my name, avatar and so forth. But the content is blank.

All the replies are gone! Please have a look at the picture attached.

What happened? Everything looks fine to me, in phpMyAdmin as well.

Please help!

Can I have a link to this page?
My first thought is a php error in the theme code but it would be useful to see it...

Yellow, I am sending you a PM with the login, as the forum is not visible to non-members.

Very strange! have you recently introduced the wp-cache plugin? You can not cache the forum page so before we go any further can you deactivate it totally? We can re-activate it with the right settings later on but for now if you can turn it off it would be helpful

W3 Total Cache was there since the very beginning and never gave me problems I know of.

Now I have deactevated it but the problem with forum is still there.

Andy, I just noticed one thing: the button ADD TOPIC works, the one ADD REPLY doesn't...

I did not expect turning off the cache plugin to resolve the problem but it gets in the way as reloading a page from the cache will display the old page that may now be fixed.

basically the page stops loading at that point so there is no footer which loads a lot of the code - including thing like the scripts needed for the add reply.

My initial thought is that there is something wrong with the spTopicView.php theme template. I would have expected to see a php error message but you may have those suppressed.

You made me an admin account but not an SP Admin. So - can you please go the the forum admin > toolbox > error log and see if there are entries for today. Ignore older ones. If there are copy and send me the last 2 or 3.

Meanwhile I would suggest you reload the Sp theme files - in particular the spTopicView.php file which I suspect might be corrupted in some way.

No error at all for today.

I just reloaded the whole folder default but nothing changed...

In the meantime I have added you as SP Admin as well.

Ah... I think you need to update your SP to version 5.0.5. Can you do that and give it another try?
