Hi guys, I've just bought I gold membership andnow I'd like to customize my forum layout, like adding icons, balloon icons, collor changes and etc. Where do I do this?

that's not much info to go on... most of it is just standard css... the various pages are done with template files just like a wp theme...

and be sure to make your own theme rather than editing one of ours...

Hi, why is so important to create my own theme?

If you edit one of our sp themes, when we release an update to it, your changes will be ovewritten if you update the theme... when wp updates plugins or themes, it removes the current one before updating to the latest release... of course, you could just never update our themes, but most users update when they see the wp message that a new theme is available...

I'm using a simple:press theme. If I make my own theme will I lost all the groups and foruns that I have already created?

No... all your forum data is stored in the database... the theme simply controls how the data is displayed to users...
