Hey guys would it be possible to get a Darker version of the Reboot Overlay done? I would definitely pay!
Shades of light black and dark grey. I can give examples. I could do this myself but would take me longer.
Thanks
Hey Raven,
A darker version should be pretty easy to set up. I wouldn't mind seeing some examples just to see what kind of 'dark' you're referring to, as we already offer the 'midnight' overlay for example - which is pretty dark! But you can change the colours throughout using the $baseColor's, you should definitely give it a go!
Try:
$baseColor2 and $baseColor3 manage the colours wherever you see them on panels (such as the head of the forum and headers). You can have the colours as a gradient by having $baseColor2 black and $baseColor3 medium grey for example, or you can have flat colours by assigning the same value to both.
$baseColor6 covers any coloured text you see.
$baseColor7 covers forum panels (normally light grey).
$baseColor1 is a lighter version of 7, covers forum panel hover and a few other display sections.
Would definitely recommend giving it a go, and would also say it might be best to start using a darker overlay i.e without 'light' in the overlay name, but definitely link to some examples!

By all means post awayHere to help if you have questions along the way.
Okay very awesome! here is a link for the dark color variations. I don't care for the blue lol.
And I am making a Image example for the Reboot theme, then I will submit the comparison of the theme I am currently using. be back in 30 minutes.

Ah I see you mean really dark.. That might take a bit more work but is definitely achievable. Were you looking to make the entire theme dark with all the text white / light grey? Including posts?
Yes sir, I would like it done exactly like the forum link I gave you except for any blue. we like xbox green. Im ready to get away from the light colors lol. I plan on editing my Main WP theme to match.
Here is my current setup: (*And The Background scrolls* )
Here is the Image edit I did just for example: ( * Was Fun..Sheesh * )
Well If your WP theme is going to use a dark page background then this won't matter, but if not I would suggest you'd want to give the ID of #spMainContainer a black background with a 5px padding.
I'd also consider working from a light overlay like 'light-blue', simply because it uses black opaque borders. These could be changed to white opaque which should work nicely compared to the example you posted earlier. It would be a bit more work but probably worth it in the long run.
Definitely worth a try and we will be here to help if you need it, but if you get stuck or fed up we could definitely do it for you under the custom theme service, just send us a PM or email..

Yeah that's Just it I don't have the time to modify the Overlay or start any darkening provisions for the simple fact it would take me several weeks or months not knowing where to specifically go in the php & Css files of Reboot. ( time would be the essance for me on the account of my real job *) , If the cost is out of my range in this very moment I will save up to get it done professionally by you guys.
.Everything can be gradient, unless images can be supplied easier for panels, headers ..etc.. If you can email me the start up costs and rate that would be awesome!
Thanks again for your replies and help!
