Support Forum
It looks to me that on this forum my posts appear to me a different color (pale yellow). I'm using the ice overlay with the default theme and I cannot seem to find the CSS I need to change to enbale that on my site - all posts, including my own appear white. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Also, that nice little call out on the left of posts in this forum towards the avatar - is that a custom feature?
Thanks in advance
It's definitely possible. Both the background color change for the users posts and the callout arrow are custom made.
If you want to create the arrow I would start with this thread. https://simple-press.com/suppo.....ur-avatar/ It's a few pages long but gives a lot of info.
On the user's post background color I think that all I added this to the theme's CSS is:
#spMainContainer .spTopicPostContainer .spCurUserPost .spPostSection {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFEE
You can give that a try and if you get stuck let us know. If you would rather have someone create a custom theme for you then click on the "Need a custom Simple:Press Theme?" image in the right sidebar and at the bottom of the page is a contact form.
Thanks Brandon, tried that but just broke stuff. I wasn't sure if I should put it the default style sheet or the overlay itself. Anyway, no biggy, don't really need a custom theme, it's just for a small cycling club so won't get used enough to justify spending time and money on it - looks good enough anyway - just playing around for my own learning and entertainment really
okay, let us know how you make out...
