Support Forum
Hi all,
I've figured out how to use the template tags - sort of 😉 I found the tags in the plugins php-file, but it (obviously) returns an unformatted list.
On Place Shifting Enthusiasts the formatting is pretty close to what I was looking for, so I'd like to ask how that formatting was applied? Thanks for any help on this!
I use several different displays of recent posts using the recent posts tag plugin and different settings.
Which list are you looking at on my site and I will be glad to share those settings.
I use a different one for the home page and the plugin's widget with different settings for the right sidebar.
I also created a custom Simple:Press plugin that shows recent posts in the forum page itself that works similarly like the new unanswered plugin does. http://placeshiftingenthusiast.....ntposts/ Since it is a SP plugin I have also created special CSS for it's display.
As an example of the one I use on the home page:
sp_RecentPostsTag('itemOrder=FTAUD&beforeUser= By:&limit=10&afterDate=<hr/>')
Let me know where you are looking and we can go from there.
Hi Brandon,
I was looking at these pages: http://placeshiftingenthusiast.....centposts/ & http://placeshiftingenthusiast.....nanswered/ (Main pages, not the sidebars.) Think I like the unanswered page best, with the avatar below forum & topic and topic & post info each on its own line.
TIA for your help!
Thats a little trickier. 🙂
The first one, the Recent posts one, is from my own custom plugin based on the unanswered plugin but shows recent posts instead.
The second one, the unanswered page, is from the new unanswered plugin available on the plugins page here.
What you would do is get both the Unanswered plugin and the Template tags plugin and put them in your Simple:Press plugins folder and activate both of them.
That will create a page on your site that displays the default unanswered output. It would be at yoursitename/yourfoumname/unanswered I created a custom menu tab on that site so people can find the page. You will probably need to do something similar.
I am using the default settings for the unanswered plugin so the order you see mine is the same as you should get.
I did create some custom CSS for the output though. I spaced the Avatar a little more apart from the text and the borders matched my theme but you may not need to do that.
